Letters from parents.

Gary & Bob
I wanted to say thank you for having such a great program for our kids. The chance a father gets to spend with his son
is everlasting, I wish when I was growing up their were programs like this so a father and son could really bond together
and what better way then by going fishing. The tournament at Tradeswinds last week was fantastic; to see 21 kids going fishing
with their parents was phenomenal. I can only wish for more programs like yours so we can get kids out of the house and in
to the outdoors. Kids today are so overwhelmed with television, computers, play stations, etc. their totally missing out on
what the outdoor life is all about. You guys are doing a great job, keep up the good work, we really do appreciate what you
have established for our kids. Looking forward to the next tournament, until then,
“Tight Lines”.

Gary,
I meant to thank you earlier,
but I didn’t have your e-mail address. Dave Matagiese was out last week and gave it to me today. Thanks for a great tournament!
It was the first tournament that
Josh’s Grandfather (My Dad) attended and Josh got his first 1st place finish. It was very exciting for all three of us. My Dad also pointed out how generous you are to be spending a potential
fishing day running a kids tournament and I agree. It’s hard enough for us to watch our kids fish without being able to fish ourselves, but to give up your Saturday
for other people’s kids is quite a sacrifice for the sport and I wanted you to know that we appreciate it. Also, I know you took down names for the newspapers. If
you know when the articles were or will be published, can you let me know? I’d like to get a few copies and send them
to out-of-state family members (we’re very proud of Josh).
Thanks again,
Dave Hayes

Gary,
I have been
meaning to contact you to thank you for these tournaments My son’s have really enjoy them and this has provided them
with other activities to do and to discuss. One of my son’s Steven Britt, placed 3rd in the Junior division at
the tournament on Sept 13,2008. My youngest son Jonathan Britt hasn’t placed in a tournament yet, but somehow manages to
catch big fish on the same day after the tournament. The picture above is about 20 inches long, 3.5 pounds, caught at John
Prince Park after the tournament. I will check my contacts for sponsors as well, keep up the good works and thanks again.

Dear Gary,
A friend of mine said yesterday, “I
often wonder what life’s about. We earn money, do stuff, live a good life
and yet it all seems so empty.” I tried to explain that building relationships,
bringing joy to others and creating good memories is what results in a fruitful feeling inside. I wish he could come to one of your Kids Fishing Tournaments!
I just visited your new website and
really appreciate all the work you put into it. How in the work did you get the
results from our September 6th tournament already posted? There are
so many children listed when I look through the individual tournaments. Ya know,
that means over 100 young kids are competing in actual “Fishing Tournaments”
– an opportunity I don’t think any of us parents ever had growing up.
For the tournament in August, I invited
a young boy I had never met. I invited him through his grandmother who worked
with me because I’d heard over the years he loved fishing and rarely could go.
Though he didn’t catch a fish during the tournament (note-he caught two after it ended with my son) his grandma
says it’s all he talks about now. He can’t wait until next year starts
the new series!
Sometimes we meet people who are very dedicated
to sharing something they love. You, Bob and Dave surely are among the few that
do. Tyler, Lynette & I will talk about our experiences with you, I guess,
til we can’t talk any more and you know how much our son respects each of you.
The tournaments have taught sportsmanship
and skills to my son, and these children we’ve met, in a way that fishing with friends and family on our own could not
have done. And none of this would be possible if you, Bob, Dave, the sponsors and the pros that come out to teach our children, didn’t sacrifice your time
and money. Well I’ve witnessed the return on each of your investments over
the years. For sure - the smiles, excitement,
parent-children relationships and friendships made are more worthwhile than material rewards will ever be.
If these tournaments were to end,
I know more than one heart would hurt for a long time. So please continue your efforts!
On behalf of Tyler and our family, thank
you so much!
Yours in Fishing,
Mike Nekolny – One grateful dad!

Hello Gary,
We wanted to say thank you for having such a
great program for our kids. It is not easy finding programs for kids especially with special needs children, my son has
cerebral palsy, and I noticed he was not the only physically limited child participating in your tournament. We can only wish
for more programs like this. Well we had a great time and are
looking forward to the next tournament, please sign us up! T.Y.
